Job Description
As an IT Service Technician at Metropolitan Interactive, you will provide remote and on-site support to clients - traveling to jobsites, both local and out-of-state, providing support for IT-based hardware, software, and network system issues. The IT Service Technician will also be responsible for ensuring quality service and performance for a variety of AV and broadcast systems. You will work with some of the largest stadiums and venues in the country, be challenged, and have opportunities to advance.


Reporting to our Service Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting on-site installation of systems by working with client IT organizations or services
  • Tracking requests, communicating problems, and documenting resolutions in the Help Desk ticketing system for all computer-related trouble reported by local end users
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing IT-based hardware or software and network technology systems that provide broadcast and AV services
  • Configure, deploy, administrate, and maintain broadcast/audio/video/control workstations and servers
  • Ensuring the stability and integrity of network voice, data, video, audio, and wireless-access services used in a large-scale audiovisual and event production facilities
  • Participating in on-call support as needed
  • Performing maintenance and service calls on client sites as needed
  • Supporting Windows/Linux-based digital signage system to ensure playback functionality


You Are Someone Who Has


  • Experience working with non-technical customers or clients of various skill level
  • 3+ years' related experience assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and upgrades to hardware and software of an organization's IoT
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology, software, products using documentation and resources
  • Knowledge of signal flow for audio/video and control systems
  • Ability to create accurate client operations guides and documentation for systems
  • Experience with firewalls and Active Directory configuration
  • Proficient in cable termination techniques and standards
  • Integrated various AV over IP solutions; KVM, video transport/streaming, audio-over-IP, etc.
  • Experience Implementing, administrating, and troubleshooting audio or video infrastructure devices
  • Managed Windows-based workstations, desktops, servers, or VMs
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Knowledge of both Microsoft, Apple, and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting desktop hardware and mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals (LAN, WLAN, DNS, etc.)
  • Comfortable being on lifts and ladders over 10 feet high

Compensation range is $30 to $42 hourly, commensurate with level of experience.
