Under broad supervision, coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls. Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Provides timely resolution of moderately complex problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Supports and maintains effective relationships with users. May develop or document standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

Reporting to the Marmon Electrical Group VP of IT. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing personal computer, server, telecommunications, and application support to Compounds and Electrical Businesses. The IT Technician will maintain current IT environment and support a variety of improvement projects across the Electrical Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain VOIP phone systems and provide mobile phone support to local users. Support a variety of Information Technology projects and initiatives across the Electrical Group.
• Maintain and enforce hardware and software standards provided by corporate. Provide Office 365 administrative support and interface between end users and corporate support staff.
• Conduct periodic Software Audits and ensure all software utilized throughout the company is compliant.
• Provide day-to-day personal computers, servers, and applications to Compounds business units.
• Conduct periodic Security Audits and ensure all security issues identified are addressed.
• Maintenance and administration of local area network at Compounds business units (i.e., wiring, hubs, switches, routers, etc.).
• Maintain network diagrams and local Information Technology Disaster Recovery Plan.
• Support cloud based (Azure) server as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid understanding of computer systems and networks.
• Excellent communicator, work independently, and versatile.
• Sense of urgency and strong problem-solving abilities
• Experience in user support for Microsoft (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Internet security, routers, switches, cloud computing, installation of computer cabling.
• Team oriented.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT.
