Quality Assurance Analyst Jobs

United Solutions is seeking a highly innovative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of a Quality Assurance Analyst. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and services. Your role will be to work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans, perform various types of testing, identify, and report defects, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to quality assurance.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects, identify trends, and propose corrective and preventive actions to improve overall product quality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using a bug tracking system, and work closely with development teams to investigate and resolve them.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and test results to stakeholders and management.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and recommending best practices.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with product managers, software developers, and business stakeholders to understand product requirements and specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on usability, testability, and quality aspects to ensure early detection of potential issues.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of our products and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality assurance processes and standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS.
• Testing API and Angular with Protractor.
• Ability to read specifications and produce test plans.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and software testing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
• Experience with manual and automated testing techniques and tools, such as test management systems, bug tracking systems, and test automation frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in using testing tools and technologies, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role with solid understanding and experience in SQA methodologies, techniques, and approaches.
• Strong UX testing skills across multiple platforms and devices.
• Understanding of and experience implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience working in small collaborative teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in an agile environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results.

DESIRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS

• Experience with MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js)
• Professional certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester)
• Experience with data analysis and SQL queries is a plus.
• Experience writing intermediate JavaScript using Cypress.io, DOM interactions, intermediate functions
• Experience using QA productivity tool sets such as Saucelabs

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or Higher)

• Full time
• United Solutions works on site five days a week. Qualified candidates must be able to commute to our headquarters located in North Bethesda, MD
