Location: Boston, MA
As an IT Intern at Tracksmith, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience with end-user support and IT operations projects. This internship is designed to help you develop your technical, communication, and professional skills, and prepare you for a successful career in IT. This is a full-time internship position with a duration of 3 to 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and update technical documentation, such as user manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving user problems.
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of IT security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data backup systems.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of network equipment, ensuring smooth and secure network connectivity.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of new technologies and software applications.
Requirements:
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Any relevant certifications or prior IT experience would be a plus.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite). Experience with Apple products and device management is a plus.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
