Job Description
Architect
The Architect job focuses on architecting multiple types/categories of technical and operating systems for running end user applications. Working under limited supervision, this job develops the architectural guidelines, specifications, and technical standards related to current and future end user requests.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develops definitions for system element architecture, design and interface for lower level professionals to follow.
  • Performs architecture requirements analysis to convert end user needs into technical solutions.
  • Communicates the design of the software architecture to all stakeholders.
  • Creates models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
  • Follows key capabilities and performance requirements when developing system architectures.
  • Assists in complex data modeling and advanced project development.
  • Harmonizes systems design and technology constraints in accordance with compliance requirements.

Required Skill:
  • Advanced level programming experience in Java (Spring) and/or C# (.NET Core) or similar programming language
  • Advanced level experience designing and securing high-transactional, fault-tolerant web applications and web services
  • Demonstrated experience building, documenting and presenting conceptual, logical and physical architectural models
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservices
  • Has broad knowledge of current industry trends and developments and is considered a thought leader
  • Knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices
  • Demonstrated experience as the software architect on many large projects
  • Advanced knowledge of OOD, design patterns, software architecture, systems integration concepts and frameworks
  • Ability to quickly learn new vendor platforms and services for integration into existing systems and processes
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience designing and implementing workflow, business rules, API, and messaging platforms
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Working knowledge of building and deploying containerized web applications/services using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
  • Experience designing and implementing application and service workloads in public cloud platforms
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of tools and DevOps processes in support of source control (Git), continuous integration (Jenkins), automated testing, and continuous deployment
  • Relevant Software Development and Architecture Certifications
  • Working knowledge of single page application development using Angular and TypeScript
Base Pay Range: $94,400/yr. - $157,400/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
