Investment Banking Intern / Contract Employee

Park Avenue Capital (PAC) is a leading strategic advisory and capital raising firm looking to hire contract employees based in the Miami, FL area, and that can occasionally spend time in our Miami Beach offices for occasional training and guidance from senior bankers.

The roles may evolve into full-time positions with Park Avenue Capital.

Park Avenue Capital is headquartered in Miami Beach, FL, and has offices in NYC, London, Rome and soon in Mexico City.

PAC focuses on:

•Sell-side and buy-side advisory services

•Cross-border public company mergers

•Capital raising

•Public listings

•Domestic and global joint-ventures

•Partnerships development

•Valuations

•Other strategic transaction services to companies across their lifecycle - from early-stage to growth stage to recapitalizations or shareholders' exits

Each PAC team member has more than 20 years of deep mergers and acquisitions and capital raising experiences, including lead advisory roles on multiple sell-side transactions and capital raises

Responsibilities

Initial responsibilities shall be to support senior investment bankers in executing client mandates as follows:

1. In the case of our Sell-side Mandates, establishing initial contact with potential acquirers of our corporate clients
2. In the case of Capital Raise Mandates, establishing initial contact with potential investors
3. Developing an internal database of corporate acquirers and investors
4. Drafting sell-side or investor presentations as required
5. Booking senior PAC team members on industry-specific conferences for speaking roles on panels

Qualifications

• Strong sales skills
• We will consider senior-level students in regional Miami universities or recent graduates
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resiliency with a 'never give up" attitude
• Doesn't mind "the grind" of repetitive calling, considering that you may grow quickly into a full-time role and will train the next generation
• Strong interest in a career in Investment Banking
• Knowledge of corporate finance
