Investment Banking Associate Jobs

Our client, is a leading US mid-market Investment Bank are looking to add an additional Junior Associate into their Charlotte based team to focus on M&A across the US.

The Mergers & Acquisitions Department (M&A) is responsible for structuring and executing a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, spin-offs, joint-ventures and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts.

Specifically looking for an Associate who will be responsible to:

• Provide support and guidance to Interns and Analysts where appropriate
• Originate and execute M&A transactions across a broad range of IBD solutions (M&A in particular but some degree of ECM , Leveraged Finance, DCM and Structured Products)
• Advise and work closely with clients on all transaction elements, including modelling and valuation, financial and strategic analysis,deal financing, due diligence coordination, negotiations, deal structuring, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a background as follows:

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Strong communications skills – ability to interact confidently with banking professionals
• A proven background in Corporate finance / M&A. Ideally 2-4 years experience.
• An industry and some degree of M&A deal experiencein either Industrials, Healthcare, Consumer/Retail and or as a Generalist preferred.
• Excellent financial modelling skills
• Good academic qualifications and demonstrated performance
