Operations Analyst (Investment Banking)

Our client is a leading global software and managed services provider in capital markets trade processing solutions, they are seeking an enthusiastic Operations Analyst to join the team.

70 of the world's top 100 banks, rely on their solutions to deliver greater efficiency to their operations. You will be responsible for the Transactions, Fees Cost and Invoice Management solution. Manage and Reconcile invoices according to process and procedure, and meet Service Level Agreement targets, ensuring all service level agreements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Query (SQL / PostgreSQL) and identify data quality issues independently and coordinate with internal teams to resolve
• Maintain and update the reference data
• Support the Client team in answering queries relating to cost or output
• Verify business reporting dashboards published in Tableau within agreed timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure SLA's (daily, monthly) are met
• Respond to queries related to variances, pricing, or fee setup issues from the client team
• Able to propose improvements to the process and bring efficiencies
• Monitor market volumes (TCADV) and client volumes to determine which pricing tiers qualifies for each month
• Obtain, model, and maintain commission / brokerage agreements in the software solution
• Assume ownership of escalating / interacting with external parties (exchange, broker etc..) to challenge any incorrect fees
• Establish control measures to ensure daily processes (batch runs) are duly performed
• Monitor monthly accruals and make adjustments to allocation, where necessary
• Execute variance analysis to explain variations between accrued calculations and invoiced values

Key Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Mature organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and comprehensive analytical skills to do research, diagnose and solve diverse problems
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL; analytic tools i.e. Qlik, Tableau8, and Power BI
• Strong knowledge of financial services is required, with ideally previous experience / working knowledge of Trade Lifecycle, and Investment Banking products (Cash and Derivative products)
