SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Reporting directly to the Chrome Hearts Global Controller, the Inventory Manager will oversee the accounting management of inventory, lead a team of two professionals, and be a collaborative partner with business unit managers across the organization. The Inventory Manager’s duties are focused on ensuring accurate and timely reporting of inventory values each month within an environment of asset management and value evaluation. This is a key position, requires several years of proven experience, and is expected to work in-person at our HQ complex in Hollywood, CA (this is not a remote work position).

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to employ strategic inventory management in multiple international manufacturing and retail locations
  • Streamline the overall inventory operations through workflow improvements, automations, and other process improvements
  • Solid understanding of global inventory accounting including, but not limited to, international manufacturing, distribution, and retail store sales
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on Inventory Manager with a solid background in manufacturing
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve inventory handling and conversion tracking
  • Act as the key costing liaison for finance/accounting with planning, procurement, and production teams

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Prepare, review, and analyze inventory reporting for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop staff by cross-training, managing performance, goal setting, providing timely and ongoing feedback, and building strong team relationships
  • Direct and manage two professional accounting resources for item maintenance management and other business processes
  • Partner with other management leaders to create improved inventory management and controls
  • Assess current practices and procedures (including effective use of ERP and other systems), make recommendations and implement best practices
  • Manage the inventory accounting functions including physical inventory counts, cycle counts, unit controls, product tracking, and value evaluation
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry and retail experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Must have positive attitude, confident demeanor, and be willing to tackle challenging tasks under competing deadlines. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where people at all levels are expected to "roll up their sleeves" and exhibit a "can do" spirit, and see projects through to completion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization
  • Must have proactive project management skills (workflow planning and management, people management and coaching, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including significant relevant experience with inventory management.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with several years in a supervisory role
  • Cost accounting experience in consumer products manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and financial systems skills (D365 is a plus)
