PURPOSE:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for reviewing inventory inquiries including mis-slots and quality concerns. This position will coordinate and help develop inventory policies and procedures. They will also help support inventory projects and programs to ensure accuracy and in compliance with service levels.
- Monitor warehouse outs including daily reports to include: Daily Inventory Change, Negative Inventory, Daily Inventory
- Prepares physical inventory recaps on a timely basis for distribution to management
- Schedules and coordinates all physical inventories and cycle countsincluding date checks
- Identifies and resolves all internal shrink problems
- Reviews and develops inventory control procedures as appropriate
- Track and maintain SOX compliance relative to 3rd Party audit & Company standards
take any necessary corrective action in order to maintain high service levels
- Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots and back stock verification
- Perform basic slotting functions as needed
- Monitors quarterly parts and supply inventories to ensure accuracy
- Maintains record retention program in compliance with corporate guidelines and policies
- Performs other relevant job duties as required
- Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location
Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Capability of being licensed in operating powered industrial equipment
- Experience as a selector or lift operator (strongly preferred)
- Have an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
- Strong math, tabulation, and reconciliation skills
- Understanding of safety guidelines
- Strong knowledge of applicable warehouse mgmt. system and RF system
- Understanding of paperwork and reporting methods related to tracking inventory
- Strong communication skills; both written and oral applications
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take initiative
- Ability to recognize and read location codes, date codes and product codes
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
