Position Summary:
As a participant in the Belk Internship Program, you will gain real word experience and exposure to various functional areas of IT Security. Gain hands on experience of new data security program installation and implementation. The Internship Program provides exposure to senior leaders, professional development workshops, structured assignments, and social events over the 10 weeks in the Summer. Interns will leave understanding the complexity of big box department stores and the excitement of the retail and ecommerce industry. The internship will be hybrid this summer where you work remotely and come to Charlotte a few times over the summer.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Work with the VP, CISO to focus on Data, Identity Access and Asset Management configurations
Assist with the project management installation of new programs as needed
Support Identity Access and Privilege Access Management
Responsible for analyzing data and taking action on updates to road maps and programs
Identify relevant analytical approaches to solving business problems
Collaborate with team members and leadership to work on projects that provide process documentation and support while demonstrating effective communication with both IT and business partners
Document key processes and assist with updates on the programming documents
Provide outstanding service to the Belk teams while supporting a fast-paced business environment
Complete assigned ad hoc projects
Requirements/Qualifications:
Rising college senior planning to graduate in December 2023 or May 2024
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Belk for this position now or in the future
Proven strong academic performer (GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred)
Majoring in Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Security, Information Technology, Data Science
Must have a fundamental understanding of Data Security and Data Classification
Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, confidence, and self-motivation
Strong business background with ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
Proficient in Excel and MS Office applications
