As we continue to embark on inspiring design journeys, we are also expanding our team! We are currently on the lookout for a talented Interior Designer + Drafter to join our creative family.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Owner & Principal Designer, Jasmine Galle, to bring client’s design dreams to life. From conceptualization to realization, your skills will shine as you contribute to both design projects and interior spaces. Your expertise will serve as the bridge between imagination and execution, elevating our projects to new heights.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Versatile portfolio highlighting adaptability, creative talent, and innovative design strategies.
  • Strong commitment to consistent high-quality work, showcasing reliability and adept time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration both within dynamic teams and with valued clients.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail for seamless project management.
  • Self-motivated, efficient, and adaptable when undertaking a diverse range of design tasks.
  • Associate's Degree in Interior Design or a minimum of 2+ years of paid design and drafting experience, preferably within an Interior Design Company or related company.
  • A powerful creative drive, unwavering passion, and steadfast commitment to achieving excellence in interior design.
  • Enhanced leadership capabilities through extensive experience in the field, including architecture or construction, coupled with valuable exposure to residential interior design encompassing kitchen, bath designs, and project management.
  • Proficiency in design software including Chief Architect (X15) and SketchUp, with a proactive aptitude for swiftly learning new software tools to ensure ongoing versatility. (Sage & Soul can offer training in Chief Architect for the right candidate)



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Utilize Chief Architect software for precision in design drawings, 3D renderings, and compliance checks.
  • Maintaining and updating design library, including keeping sample library organized, ordering samples, tracking deliveries, and local pick-ups as needed.
  • Build and foster diverse vendor connections for expanded design possibilities.
  • Act as point of contact to client and project team, providing timely and accurate updates in accordance with overall project milestones.
  • Craft captivating mood boards for effective design communication and visualization.
  • Generate realistic 3D renderings, aligning with company aesthetics for client clarity.
  • Manage projects from remodels to renovations, ensuring code compliance and safety.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless execution.
  • Bring creativity and collaboration to design projects, uniting with the Lead Designer and Principal for cohesive concepts.
  • Support Lead Designer and Principal in product research, maintaining strict timelines and sourcing top-tier materials, finishes, and furniture.
  • Assisting with all aspects of project management including generating project budgets, project timelines, purchasing, and vendor relationships/follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate construction documents, incorporating design insights and adhering to building standards, codes, and safety regulations.



LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • The majority of this job will be performed in an office environment, however candidates will be required to run occasional errands including but not limited to visits to/from job sites, sample pickup/returns, and general design studio tasks.
  • A valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required for this position.
  • Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Spokane WA, 99218


COMPENSATION:


  • Opportunity for pay advancement and growth into a full-time position.
  • We are open to contract position (1099) or employment (W2).
  • Estimated range of 15-20 hours per week to start, some weeks will vary.
  • Ideal starting range of $25-30 / hour, DOE.
