Job Description
Manager – Lease Accounting
Location: NYC, Union Square Park neighborhood
Salary: to $125K-140K plus LTI
In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of lease accounting in a growing organization. In this high profile role, you will report to the Senior Director of the team and be able to leverage your skills to improve processes and assist in creating efficiencies for the leasing team.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the month end financial reporting and analysis of fluctuations
  • Perform technical accounting research, prepare memos and process documentation related to ASC 842
  • Manage the application and ongoing maintenance of lease accounting standards in accordance with ASC 842, including roll forward of all applicable accounts
  • Work with business partners to improve processes and implement internal controls
  • Forecast cash flows and prepare budget estimates
  • Participate in systems implementations and enhancements for Anaplan cloud-based planning software
  • Manage the month end close process
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with a mix of public and corporate experience highly desired
  • Strong systems skills including Excel, knowledge of Visual Lease or similar system and NetSuite or similar system a plus
  • Collaborative work style, able to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
  • BS in Accounting or related field, CPA or parts passed
  • Strong GAAP skills with knowledge of ASC 842 required
