SENIOR MANAGER ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Responsible for managing all activities in accounts payable for both U.S. and Canada. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices, maintains accurate records, and delivers departmental spend reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manages and supervises the accounts payable department staff, consisting of employees in the U.S and Canada

· Ensures that accounts payable and the company’s financial obligations are met on an accurate and timely basis while adhering to company policies and procedures

· Executes weekly vendor disbursement cycles, or as needed, based on vendor’s payment method (ACH/EFT, wire, check)

· Tracks the status of invoice payment submissions to ensure they are approved, reviewed, and paid in a timely fashion

· Ensures all accounts payable documentation is up to date and maintained accurately including vendor disbursement cycle process descriptions

· Manages Concur Invoice system administrator tasks for maintaining system requirements and department workflows, in conjunction with IT, and communicating system changes to company users

· Oversees new vendor set-up including maintenance of supporting documentation

· Oversees tax-related processes tied to vendor payments for the US and Canada (e.g.,1099/T4A and Canadian and U.S. sales tax reporting and compliance)

· Compiles and analyzes financial information for management, including the creation of custom spend reporting packages

· Builds and maintains relationships with various stakeholders in the accounts payable process

QUALIFICATIONS

· Extensive accounts payable experience in a global organization

· Expertise in domestic and international currency invoice processing

· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with multiple constituents, including vendors, executives, league personnel, among others

· Highly organized, adaptable, with keen attention to detail

· Strong analytical and time management skills

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Concur software, with willingness and ability to learn other internal software systems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred

· 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a managerial role.
