Instructor Nursing Education - RN - Emergency Department - Days

Join a patient focused tight-knit team of nurse educators led by a dynamic leader, at the Brooklyn Methodist campus, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs for nursing and support staff. These programs will cover the Emergency Department and general nursing programs as needed. Use your nursing experience and education in a meaningful way by guiding the next generation of top-talent nurses!
Conduct clinical rounds. Identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach education programs, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., online learning modules). Promote best clinical practices and on-going professional development. Actively participate in Nursing orientation program and evaluate staff competence.

• This is full-time day shift position (4-10 hour shifts) located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. This position will support education for the Emergency Department.
• Preferred Criteria

• Passion for combining innovation with education, and the ability to connect well with staff
• Experience as a Nurse Instructor

• Required Criteria

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current New York State RN license
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an exceptional level of energy and vitality
• Preceptor and/or leadership experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master's Degree in related area
• 2+ years of Registered Nurse experience in Emergency Nursing

$127,000-$157,000
