About The Job


We're seeking a dynamic and motivated Inside Sales Representative with a passion for the cannabis industry to join the Connected and Alien Labs Sales team in California. Winning in California dispensaries is absolutely critical to growing the Connected business, and our Inside Sales Representative will be on the front lines, developing our business within existing customers and closing new qualified customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in inside sales, remote account management, and possess a deep understanding of and passion for the cannabis industry.


In addition, the Inside Sales Representative must be extremely knowledgeable about our product offerings, represent integrity and professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service. In this role, the ISR will interface with buying teams at 100+ dispensaries and the Connected sales and ops teams to build and execute plans to drive growth inside their assigned accounts.


What You Will Do


  • Meet individual goals and collaborate with other sales team members to successfully meet team goals
  • Ability to manage revenue and distribution targets for territory and identify and close gaps of growth within portfolio
  • Track lead to sale in CRM and log all activities
  • Help drive continuous improvement by contributing to the entrepreneurial culture at Connected
  • Contribute to operational and strategic plans for department
  • Assess customer needs, answer questions, and assist with ordering process
  • Generate revenue within existing accounts while closing new qualified accounts


What We Are Looking For


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, G-Suite, and CRM tools. ERP experience a plus
  • Experience in cannabis industry a plus
  • Experience handling high volume of incoming calls, emails, and texts
  • Experience handling high volume sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with trade partners
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience in Inside Sales, preferably in the Cannabis industry
  • 21 years & older
  • Strong understanding of the retail landscape across California
  • Organized and detail oriented


Compensation Description (hourly): The hourly pay range for this position in the selected city is $30.00 - $35.00.


Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role is eligible for variable compensation and/or additional incentives.
