Job Description

Cobham is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to interact with customers and provide information in response to inquiries about accounts, products, and services. The Inside Sales Representative handles and resolves customer complaints, special orders, or returns. Answers customer’s questions regarding products or services. Provides information to current or prospective customers regarding pricing, changes in service, discontinuance and shipping. Receives and processes orders. May solicit sale of new or additional services or products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Workbooks and Quotes for Management
  • Receive and process orders and change orders in accordance with standard procedures
  • Be an in-house Auditor as required
  • File Invoices and Job Orders documents
  • Attend weekly meetings with your customer to report OTD status or any orders at risk
  • Issue RMA’s (Return Material Authorization) in accordance with standard procedures
  • Process and distribute internal mail daily
  • Conduct weekly balancing
  • Send customer Order Acknowledgements
  • Act as backup for other Inside Sales Team Members
  • Primary Focal and Account Manager for Tier 1 OEM Accounts
  • Review of Complex Purchase Orders requiring attention to detail; (route to appropriate departments for approval)
  • Retrieve and accept New and Change Orders with Procurement Portals
  • Print shippers
  • Process returns from Receiving to testing, to repair, to Shipping back to the customer
  • Process 8130-3 forms
  • Answer telephone, greet visitors, and monitor sign-in book
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Generate MTD (Month-to-Date) Reports daily and weekly to Management
  • Route technical calls as required
  • Report quality ratings reports on a monthly basis


Minimum Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Computer knowledge including proficiency in MS Office Suite, Internet and e-mail; MRP/ERP
  • Attention to detail and thorough in completing tasks
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and 2 years’ experience in customer service in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
