Job Description
Role Summary: The Innovation Business Development Leader is a self-starter, driven person responsible for exploring, accessing, and bringing new industry-challenging ideas to market. This primarily entails working with the Co-Founders and leaders to understand opportunities in the market and help execute and bring them to life. This person will use a disruptive lens to help generate, polish, and refine ideas that challenge the status quo. This role includes work within the beer industry but is not limited to just that area of interest.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Provide leadership at all levels of the organization
  • Allocate and direct resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel
  • Ensure quality and safety standards and maintained and upheld in partnership with facilities team
  • Strong understanding of the beverage industry
  • Creation of supply chains
  • Define and implement policies and performance standards
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations
  • Regularly review and manage P&L statements and control costs where appropriate in partnership with finance team
  • Scout out locations that meet business goals
  • Help to organize marketing efforts in coordination with marketing team
  • Communicate with leadership team to keep company on pace with overall business goals
  • Understanding of legal documents such as contracts, leases, corporate articles, and loans
  • Seek to take ideas and turn them into sales and bottom-line profits
  • Interpret data and metrics into actionable steps
  • Work with construction firms to manage build outs and bring ideas to life
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, forecasts, and business valuations
  • Communicate and embody the company vision, culture, and values


Education & Experience


  • Master’s degree, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in the following business functions: personnel management, business planning, vendor relationships, beverage sales, purchasing, company policies and procedures, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
  • Minimum of one year working within consumer packaged beverage industry
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, operations, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, forecasting, customer service, marketing, coordination of people and resources, and overall business planning
  • Negotiation and mediation skills to find opportunities to resolve conflicts efficiently and favorably
  • Decision-making skills to weigh the costs and benefits of various options and determining the best course of action to achieve company goals
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks to ensure that projects are completed by deadlines and streamlining processes to maximize productivity
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data analytics
  • Delegation skills to identify the best person (or people) for a particular task and act as a facilitator to motivate and direct the work
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze past and current performance and recommend objectives to improve productivity and profitability
  • Communication skills to ensure effective communication with and between superiors and subordinates
  • Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and municipal regulations
  • Leadership skills to direct business vision, motivate staff, and keep team focused on long-term goals
  • Knowledge of the history and spirit of Night Shift
  • Knowledge of Mergers and Acquisitions
