Responsibilities

As an Information Systems Engineer on our client's team, you'll lead and function as part of a team conducting security audits of their client's information system's security configuration settings, documentation, and processes against federal directive requirements.

• Support analysis of current logging environment, identify potential storage alternatives, provide a tiered approach to consolidation, risk, impacts, and outcomes based on Federal standards and their client's requirements. You will communicate with system stakeholders to promote understanding
• You’ll assist with coordinating assessment logistics, examine system documentation, interview appropriate system stakeholders, test system technical security configuration settings, review Nessus scan results for compliance requirements, assist other team members with the assessment process, and assist with developing control assessment reports (CAR) that clearly identify each finding and recommended mitigation actions

Requirements

• Experience with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) security boundaries
• Ability to develop alternative solutions to support large complex enterprise vulnerability management systems
• Knowledge of different types of physical and virtual IT assets
• Experience with maintaining a secure cyber environment through configuration management, administration, and response actions
• Experience working directly with clients to gather system and network information to help create/update cyber security solutions 
• 10+ years of experience with solution engineering and analysis of large complex enterprise vulnerability management systems
• Experience with NIST security controls, the governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) security documentation tool, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security compliance
• Experience planning assessments and being a senior member in a team of security control assessors

Preferred Requirements

• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
• Experience conducting audits of federal information systems and technology

Education Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, EE, IS and 10 years of professional experience or 18 years of professional experience in lieu of degree is required.

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements will need to be obtained and maintained by the selected applicants.
