We’re looking for people who are passionate about helping improve healthcare to join us. We are seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst 3 who will monitor our genetic testing pipeline using custom software tools to ensure samples move through efficiently. Successful candidates will take initiative to automate and improve workflows and troubleshoot the production process through diligent analysis. An important part of this job is to be able to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical teammates.

What you will do:

• Develop data quality analysis processes, and design and execute lab information management workflows
• Create tools for analysis and automation
• Conduct lab data quality review
• Characterize and monitor delayed samples, and develop corrective actions through software, policy, and documentation
• Serve as a subject matter expert representing bioinformatics operations in incident responses, process improvements, and product development
• Develop lab information system (LIS, LIMS) requirements for new lab operations and quality control (QC) workflows
• Define and analyze turnaround time and other measures of operational excellence and efficiency and develop tools and processes to improve quality and efficiency

What you bring:

• Excellent ability to work with people across different teams and specializations
• Working knowledge of molecular genetics and experience with next generation sequencing data, preferably in a production setting
• Flexible schedule, including being able to commit to periodic weekend support
• Preferred: Software development and database querying experience (e.g. Flask with PostgreSQL)
• 3+ yrs experience manipulating data and troubleshooting applications in UNIX-based environments
• 3+ years process analysis, design, and improvement experience
• Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical teammates
• Preferred: Experience with bash scripting
• 5+ years experience working in a molecular biology context and troubleshooting lab or software pipelines and a BS Degree, 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Written scripts to analyze data or automate processes (e.g. Python, R) and well versed in software version control methods (e.g. Git)
• Preferred: Hands-on NGS wet lab experience

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. $76,500—$95,600 USD
