Description

This position is accountable for developing and executing complex or specific technological processes and applications. Supports a world class team of engineers in design and product development within area of engineering specialty. Promotes technological specialty within the corporation and also at various professional bodies.

• Defines and documents requirements based on customer or internal documentation.
• Writes clear requirements and manages requirement databases to maintain baselines and provide bi-directional traceability.
• Executes design, analysis and development of engineering projects.
• Assesses design alternatives to identify optimum system designs.
• Acts as a technical consultant on engineering specialty for anyone who needs the service.
• Establishes performance criteria for designs.

Requirements

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.

Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

3+ years of experience in System Engineering Specialty or related field a plus.

Experience using requirement management tools such as DOORS, JAMA, Visure, etc.

Other

Working knowledge of System Modelling Tools : EXCEL, MATLAB, MATHCAD, PSPICE; Laboratory Equipment : Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers Multimeters, and Data Loggers a plus. Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing Techniques for product or test equipment utilization a plus. Good organizational and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Corrective lens eyewear to achieve the necessary vision is acceptable.

Salary Description
