YOUR ROLE AS A HUMAN SERVICES OUTREACH SPECIALIST

As a Human Services Outreach Specialist at Fedcap, you reach out to people with disabilities in the community and provide them with all the resources they need to achieve their goals. You're the ultimate problem-solver, checking in on folks and hooking them up with all the tools and support they need to succeed. You're also the one to revive any disengaged individuals and get them back on track.

You collaborate with our amazing partners in the community, including schools, employers, and internship programs - basically, you're the driving force that keeps everyone moving forward. As the outreach maestro, you make sure everyone is accounted for and that your progress is recorded in our database. You work collaboratively across departments to make sure everyone's outreach needs are met. Every day brings a new challenge, and every day you bring fantastic solutions!

Qualifications For a Human Services Outreach Specialist

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Experience working with populations on public assistance, criminal backgrounds, and the economically disadvantaged.
• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, education, or equivalent experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to multitask, and a great sense of judgment

At least 1 year of outreach experience is preferred, though it's not required. If you care about your community, enjoy working with those who are disadvantaged, and have a desire to change the world, this may be the perfect nonprofit position for you!
