Human Resources Specialist - Remote | Wfh

We're looking for an enthusiastic Human Resources Specialist who will own all aspects of payroll and provide subject matter expertise in employee benefit plans. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and employment regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to serve as the primary liaison between management and employees, handling questions, interpreting, and administering personnel policies.
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will have the chance to coordinate the termination process for employees leaving the organization, ensure unemployment claims are processed accurately and timely, and serve as the primary contact person for unemployment questions and information. You will also provide tactical leadership for plant hourly staffing processes, including posting positions, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and conducting new hire orientation.
To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in an applicable field, human resources, or a related degree. You must have experience in a payroll system, HRIS, and human resources compliance policies and procedures. We're looking for someone who demonstrates analytical/problem-solving skills, has strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and pays strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
