Position Overview


We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Human Resources Onboarding Advisor to join our Global HR Service Center. As an HR Onboarding Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to employees regarding onboarding, new hire administration, and policies and procedures. You will serve as the first point of contact for our new hires, their managers, and HR Business Partners as they navigate the processes related to joining. You will be the first point of contact for HR-related assistance, providing information for US and Canadian-based employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders. We are looking for someone with great problem-solving and customer service skills that thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment.


This position requires a broad understanding of Human Resources which enables you to explain the background and context of HR rules and procedures to employees and managers on complex issues. You will work closely with HR centers of excellence (COE) team members and HR Business Partners to resolve problems and identify areas of ambiguity needing clarity or improvement. This position also supports the department in the administration of HR work and projects assigned to the team. As an HR Onboarding Advisor, you will be responsible for processing and resolving complex requests on a wide variety of HR issues, providing quality support services with a high degree of customer satisfaction, expertise, and timeliness by utilizing our Service Delivery support portal, telephone, chat, email, and drop-in face-to-face interactions.

District Overview


HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.


Location


This position will be based in our Lonetree Colorado office.


Responsibilities


  • Ownership of new employee onboarding processes for full-time and intern hires, including acting as the main contact for new hires before their start date, providing a best-in-class onboarding experience.
  • Utilize various human resource information systems (HRIS) to execute onboarding, staying up to date on system enhancements and best practices, participating in UAT, and escalating workflow issues.
  • Professionally and accurately respond to written and oral inquiries from employees and managers regarding complex onboarding questions, and issues, evaluating requests and as the first point of contact utilizing knowledge of HR to determine appropriate resolution and/or escalation.
  • Work closely with the field HR teams, employees, and management and support the department in the administration of assigned work, self-identifying and reprioritizing tasks to meet fluctuating needs of the business.
  • Propose solutions and recommendations for process improvement and efficiency based on patterns and trends identified through case audits, customer feedback, and functional expertise.
  • Partner closely with other HR COEs, including Talent Acquisition and HRBPs to execute HR operational processes and services focusing on the employee onboarding experience.


Qualifications


  • Degree in Human Resources or related preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of various human resources areas including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, and compensation.
  • Able to demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience, or related experience, ideally in a similar onboarding/HR Shared Services type role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to solve problems for employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, Shared Service / Center of Excellence office environment, multi-task, prioritize work, and pivot as needed to address the most urgent tasks.
  • Familiarity with HRIS a plus (SAP SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow experience ideal)

Base Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000


(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
