Job Description
SkyGrid, a Boeing, SparkCognition company, is powering the next generation of autonomous aviation. As the only airspace management system built on AI and blockchain technologies, SkyGrid solves the industry’s biggest challenges integrating unmanned aircraft into complex, rapidly changing airspace. SkyGrid’s intelligent system monitors, predicts, and adapts to changes in environmental conditions, aircraft performance, and regulatory dynamics to safely enable a wide variety of commercial drone operations, from package deliveries to aerial taxis.


Additionally, we are defining a future where highly automated aircraft operate without onboard pilots across the world. We develop the Safety-of Life approved airspace management systems for such aircraft to ensure operations of all participants in the air transportation system are safe and secure. Currently, there is no existing airspace management system in the industry. This is a one-of-a-kind experience to lead a complex solution for unmanned and autonomous aircraft. SkyGrid is also an FAA-approved LAANC service supplier, providing flight authorizations to thousands of drone operators in the US.


 SkyGrid is seeking an energetic and friendly Human Resources Manager to lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of HR guidelines and thrives working within a busy, dynamic, and diverse team. The HR Manager will partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy as it relates to recruiting, retention, and succession planning.


Performance Objectives:


  • Improve performance improvement and development plans
  • Work with leadership team to address talent acquisition strategies that align with the business plan
  • Research and present compensation strategies that parallel organizational goals
  • Assess and improve internal policies and procedures in relation to federal, state and local compliance practices and SkyGrid specific guidelines


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and develop employee resource groups including culture curation
  • Coordinate immigration process with outside counsel including, J1, H-1B, Green Card, and OPT visas.
  • Manage HRIS data, payroll changes and PTO
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Recommend training opportunities.
  • Implement and manage the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Proactively respond to employee questions regarding but not limited to benefits, employee relations, and company guidelines.
  • Provide positive employee experience
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.


Qualifications


  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with employee information.
  • Highly detail oriented and ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
  • 6+ years of Human Resources and Recruiting experience, preferably in a startup or growing tech company.
  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business or related fields.
  • Strong desire to work in a fast paced, ever changing, highly technical environment while having fun!


Preferred Qualifications:


  • A minimum of six years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP highly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Prior experience creating HR policies inline with SHRM
