Job Description

The Human Resource Manager / Office Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting and interviewing staff, assist in administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practiceswhile managing administrative resource support to Raven Advisory office functions.


Supervisory Responsibilities.


  • Handlesand/or advises on all HR related issues. Manages andHR employees, in accordance with company policy.
  • Monitors andmanages timely HRpolicy implementationand performance evaluations.
  • Oversees the daily workflowof the HR departmentand all its functions.
  • Resources, recruits, interviews,hires,and in-processes newemployeesfor theentirecorporation.


Duties and Responsibilities.


  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talentmanagementstrategy.Specifically, as it relates to current and future talent needssupporting operations and business development, recruiting, retention,employee professional development, and succession planning.
  • Attends employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations at the request and discretion of leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manages, monitors, analyzes, and provides recommendations tomaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, and interviewing ofqualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Provides HR policy guidance based on Department of Labor rules, regulations and laws pertaining to employees.
  • In conjunction with leadership, creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Analyzesand interpretstrendsimpacts oncompensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Provides support,HRguidanceand policyto HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, andsensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides HR counseling and develops employee performance plans based on current DOL guidelines.

    • Ability to occasionally travel based on work requirements. (10% or less)
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Must have fluency in the ISO 9000/9001 family of Quality Control and Management standards.


    Education and Experience:


    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience required.
    • Society of Human Resources Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) highly desired.


    Physical Requirements:


    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.


    Location:

    Duties and responsibilities will be in the Fayetteville, Aberdeen, and Laurinburg North Carolina areas.
