Job Description

We are partnered with a leading Automotive manufacturer in the Greater Jackon Area of Mississippi, which is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team. As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all functions within the HR Department. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects, including workplace safety, compliance, policy implementation, employee relations, and more.


Responsibilities:

  • Maximize customer service by managing and developing the HR department employees.
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise all functions within the HR Department, providing leadership to reduce workplace incidents and collaborating with EHS and Management to minimize loss time injuries.
  • Monitor and administer compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to Human Resources.
  • Develop, communicate, and maintain departmental standards and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a satisfactory 5S program for the HR Office area.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly HR reporting.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction activities within the HR department.
  • Maintain consistency in interpreting and applying policies and procedures across HR staff, department managers, and employees.
  • Drive HR participation on the Safety Engagement Committee and organize semi-annual property clean-up activities.
  • Oversee the administration of wage and benefit programs and maintain open communication with all employees.
  • Counsel department managers and supervisors on corrective action and conflict resolution matters.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in MS Unemployment Hearings and respond to claims electronically.
  • Oversee and maintain documentation/requirements related to JSOX and other audits involving HR processes.
  • Recommend and implement training and development programs, including new manager training, policies, and HRIS (ADP) capabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison to the community through involvement in local events and organizations.
  • Conduct investigations of employee issues, violations, and grievances, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly Employee Roundtable Meetings, including quarterly Focus Surveys for employee engagement.
  • Administer and oversee the Alcohol/Drug Policy in conjunction with the EHS Manager.
  • Facilitate salaried recruiting and hiring processes, including advertising, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Assist with departmental budgeting analysis and preparation.


Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinking, creativity, and innovation abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/HR Management or a related field (required). PHR/SPHR certification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment. Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
