Job Description
Primary Purpose
Under the supervision of the company's Human Resources Manager, the Human Resource Generalist performs work of moderate difficulty in Human Resources and benefits administration. Assists the Human Resources Manager with recruitment functions, workers compensation reporting and tracking, employee relations, and provides information and assistance to employees regarding Human Resources activities, processes, policies, and procedures.
Essential Duties
  • Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies for high volume manufacturing plant.
  • In conjunction with the Corporate Recruiter, facilitate management of the recruitment process, including coordination of interviews and onboarding activities with newly hired associates.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Research, compile and analyze data for special personnel projects and reports.
  • Explain employment benefits and general terms and conditions of employment to employees and department representatives; conduct initial new employee orientation for purposes of ensuring appropriate completion of payroll and benefits documentation.
  • Assist in the processing of personnel action forms and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.
  • Provide customer service, both in-person and by telephone; answer questions from employees regarding Human Resources issues, rules, and regulations relating to Human Resources management; respond to employment verification requests, and other requests for information.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Energetic and goal oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask projects efficiently with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, as well as ATS platforms.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Education And Experience
  • 1-3 years of previous Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • HRIS experience helpful, ADP WorkforceNow preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Associate's Degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
