Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Corporate Human Resource department. This role will serve as a direct report to the Sr. Corporate Director of Human Resources. Up to 25% travel required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to Sr. Corporate Director of Human Resources.
· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
· Performs audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately for 21 long-term care communities.
· Provides clerical support to the HR department, including assisting the Corporate Recruiter.
· Assist with Open Enrollment and Benefit Questions.
· Acts as a liaison between the organization and TPA providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
· Assist with FMLA/LOA management.
· Conducts or assists with orientation and training of community HR managers.
· Monitor Unemployment Claims for 21 long-term care communities.
· Perform reconciliation between payroll department and benefit vendors.
· Prepare and edit documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft and/or Google platform.
· Assist with HR investigations and reporting.
· Assist with interviewing and onboarding applicants
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll Human Resource Information System (HRIS), and similar computer applications. (SmartLinx preferred, but not required)
Education and Experience:
· 3+ years HR experience required.
· Associate’s Degree Preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
