Job Description
Irvine Clinical Research is seeking Human Resource Generalist applicants with previous human resource management experience. The HR Generalist will support a growing team of doctors and researchers conducting clinical trials on Alzheimer's Disease treatment and prevention in Irvine, CA.


Job Duties


  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
Job Qualifications


  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A command of professional spoken and written English
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulation
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, an HRIS (TBD) and talent management (Lever)


This is a full-time employment position based in-person at our clinic in Irvine, CA. The estimated starting salary for this position is $65k per year, depending on experience and education.


Applicants who are available for a consistent 20 or more hours per week may be considered for an hourly role as well.
