We are 120 employees strong and pride ourselves on our small company atmosphere, employee, and quality orientation. We seek a top-notch Human Resources Manager for our Stockton facility. Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resource Manager assists in maintaining an effective labor force by supporting the production personnel and office personnel in payroll matters, insurance matters, knowledge of company policy, training, and regulatory compliance. Basic Function: The Human Resource Manager assists in maintaining an effective labor force by supporting the production personnel and office personnel in recruiting, insurance matters, knowledge of company policy, training, employee relations and regulatory compliance. Reporting Relationships: The Human Resources Manager reports to: the CEO. The Human Resources Manager interfaces with: All other personnel. Who reports to the HR Manager: The HR Assistant/Training Coordinator/Safety Coordinator; the HR Representatives and the Legal Representative at the Tecate- Mexico MDPDT plant. Authority: The Human Resource Manager has the authority to: Conduct Orientation for new employees. Obtain valid photo ID, Social Security, and verify employee work eligibility. Satisfy Federal and State Tax Reporting Requirements Disclose employee their starting rate Disclose Workers Compensation Insurance Disclose Employee Rights: FMLA, PFLA, Disability Act, Paid Sick Leave Act Disclose NDA, Employee Confidentiality Agreement, At-Will Statement, and DAC Agreement. Setup employee's Biometric for clock in and clock out Setup employee profile in iSolved (Payroll People) system for Timekeeping/Payroll. Enroll eligible employees in Company's group insurance programs. Health, Vision, Dental and MetLife Coverage. Review job descriptions and recommend changes. Process employee Exit Interview, and provide critical information. Enter completed training records into the employee files and notify Training Coordinator to update the training matrix Investigate employee complaints and recommend action to be taken to the CEO Oversee weekly attendance meeting with management. Responsibilities: The Human Resource Manager has the responsibility to: Help to assure a safe and pleasant work environment for the employees. Handle problems and complaints of the employees in a confidential manner. Maintain accurate records of workplace accidents. Assure that each employee had the opportunity to enroll in our insurance program and that if they choose not to enroll, get a signed release waiver form. Ensure that each employee is thoroughly trained in our safety program and has attended the video on the Sexual Harassment prevention program. Maintain all employee files. Ensure all WCM employees are legally documented to work in the U.S. and that they have signed the WCM confidentiality agreement. Accept employee complaints in confidence and inform management. Ensure that the proper paperwork has been competed at the time of hiring, including voucher for all new production employees, I-9, W-4, receipt of all procedures, and orientation training. Maintain and verify vacation time accrued and paid sick leave eligibility through compliance with Company policy. Handle complaints in a timely and confidential manner. Remind managers, their employees' upcoming performance reviews/pay-increase, and support employees with concerns. Maintain company compliance with all state and federal labor laws. Oversee HR function at the Tecate (Mexico) plant. This includes direct supervisory duties over three employees (two HR Representatives and the Accounting Manager/Legal Representative). Supervisory duties over one HR Assistant in Stockton, CA plant. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: The Human Resource Manager will be deemed to be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following is accomplished: A productive working relationship with all personnel is maintained. All paperwork completed and filed at the time of hiring. Employees paid correctly and in a timely manner. All employee insurance acceptance/release is documented and filed correctly. Handling of employee complaints and in confidential as much as possible. Maintain and review employees' attendance and advice assigned managers for further evaluations if necessary. Minimum Requirements: A two-year college degree in a relevant field 4 year degree preferred. Ability to use payroll and attendance software. Experience with iSolved a plus. Proficient with Windows Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook). Minimum of 4 years of experience in HR management. Highly fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
