We are looking for an HR Generalist to provide outstanding customer service to our business leaders and employees throughout Northern California and Reno. We are searching for a leader to provide operational counsel and hands-on activity for business and team member issues. You will have the opportunity to develop HR strategies that improve our business and contribute to the overall advancement of our entire organization.


We need someone who is a self-initiator, has a bias for action, able to de-escalate conflict, research to find the truth in a situation, and is dedicated to creating and developing superior internal customer relationships. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. We want someone who can work with autonomy and discretion and your input will be greatly valued throughout the management.

Core Duties & Responsibilities


  • Team - We operate in a team environment and it will be critical to develop highly functioning relationships with the various Directors and Department Managers to execute HR strategies that support the business. This position will facilitate open communication with all employees in a timely and courteous manner and drive change management among leaders to ensure strategic changes that impact associates are rolled out in an engaging, well communicated, and reinforced way. The HR team should be established as a credible and trustworthy resource within our company. This position fosters a culture of inclusiveness within the organization.
  • Employee Development and Relations - This position will facilitate the soft skills training to help each employee develop to their full potential. Employee relation issues should be timely and professionally addressed and investigations conducted when appropriate through a systematic approach with clear documentation and follow-through. The need for change should be anticipated and influenced before a crisis occurs. Success in this position requires persuasive and clear communications while leading change through training and influence across all levels and functions of colleagues.
  • HR Expertise – This position, along with assistance from other management experienced in HR and outside legal counsel, will guide the company through HR compliance and best practices. This will be accomplished through a deep understanding of our business needs and participating in solving business problems. It will be critical to act as an advisor and facilitator to employees and managers on day-to-day issues, policy interpretation, investigations, and conflict resolution. It is important to translate business strategies into actions that deliver results and improve organizational capability.


Required Skills And Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in HR with exposure to all major functional areas of HR


Preferred Skills And Qualifications


  • Previous experience partnering with senior management
  • Proven experience of leading deployment of organizational change
  • PHR/PHR-CA /SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or similar HR Certification
