Job Description
Seeking a HR Generalist for a leading manufacturer of mechanical components and assemblies for various industries including aerospace and defense, medical and industrial.


This person will be primarily responsible for managing Payroll and Benefits Administration, among other duties. The successful candidate needs to have experience processing weekly payroll for approximately 170 union and non-union employees.


  • Maintains the HRIS/Benefits system by inputting/tracking employee information.
  • Processes union information by preparing/providing support documentation for union audits and reconciling/paying union invoices (dues, medical coverage).
  • Processes weekly payroll for union and non-union.
  • Provides administrative support by completing employee verification requests, worker’s compensation/disability administration, and setting up garnishments.
  • Maintains/tracks attendance records, monitoring/tracking vacation/sick time, adjusting time records as needed and auditing time records to ensure compliance to policies/procedures.
  • Provides accounting/finance support by tracking payroll accruals, and creating reports (ad hoc, benefits, overtime).
  • Coordinates workers’ compensation.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims.
  • Coordinates all benefit plans (including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), COBRA, FSA, and supplemental insurance).


Requirements


  • Bi-lingual in Spanish
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, problem solving, analytical, creative thinking and multi-tasking skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Payroll and Human Resources.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related discipline.
  • Knowledge of federal/state/local employment laws and payroll/HRIS software.

  • Union payroll experience highly preferred
  • Payroll system Paylocity highly preferred
