We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources (HR) functions. This position will function to manage and administer the human resources function, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, payroll, and policy administration.


Responsibilities


  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are incompliance.
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. This includes open enrollment.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with annual Employee Engagement & Performance Evaluation cycles.
  • Manages employee recordkeeping including, personnel files, training documents, performance appraisals, FMLA and other leaves, layoffs, employee transfers and separations.
  • Manage Attendance policy including notice of attendance occurrences to employees
  • Provide support for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations.
  • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
  • Handles employment related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors.
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, state licensure, and certifications.
  • Manages on-boarding orientation program for new employees
  • Assist with the implementation of company safety programs. Submits Workers’ Compensation Claims and tracks OSHA-required data
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.


Skills


  • SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, organization and communication skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, , etc.
  • Team player with the ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers.
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of previous Human Resource Generalist experience required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
