Job Description

Deployed Services provides an integrated logistics approach for individual and collective training support for Government programs. Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will be accountable for partnering with site business leadership to develop strategies and associated action plans to achieve business objectives. Responsible for providing guidance to support and implement Human Resources policies, programs, and practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Participates in annual benefit renewals and open enrollment processes in coordination with corporate directives
  • Implements employee training and development programs in collaboration with the Training department
  • Partners with management staff to support site, departmental, and corporate goals
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and upholds the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • Supports management in the handling of employee relations matters, this includes, investigating sensitive and complex situations and facilitates the resolution of matters on conflict at the earliest opportunity. Escalates concerns in relation to HR and other matters to the appropriate management staff as necessary
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • Leads specific HR-related projects as assigned, researching, progressing, and coordinating projects and making recommendations for future action
  • Maintains and reports data related to headcount, turnover rates, recruitment metrics and trends, etc., on a monthly and as needed basis
  • Participates in the analysis of appropriate staffing levels based on business demands
  • Compiles and prepares data in relation to and preparation of EEO and Affirmative Action reporting/plan requirements
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to use HRIS related computer programs and software; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, GSuite)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends and collaborate with assigned business partners to resolve matters expediently and thoroughly
  • Ability to work remotely

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements and Service Contract Act (SCA) highly desirable
  • Organizational experience in government contracting environments, preferred
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) desired
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check and a criminal background check
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification desired
  • Experience with employee relations in skilled trade-based environment(s)
  • Minimum of (5) years of Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or HR Generalist experience preferred
  • Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
