As an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting various HR and payroll functions, ensuring the overall well-being of our employees. You will collaborate with the HR team and other departments to provide effective HR services and solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support benefits administration and assist in the preparation of compensation packages
• Assist with employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
• Oversee the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate calculation of employee compensation, benefits, and tax withholdings
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and proactively addressing employee concerns
• Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and participate in HR audits
• Update and develop HR policies and procedures, aligning them with legal and industry standards
• Maintain employee payroll records and collaborate with Finance and Accounting departments to reconcile accounts

Education & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, building relationships at all organizational levels
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role
• PHR, SHRM-CP or above certification is a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in HRIS/Payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Work Location:

The HR Generalist will work a hybrid schedule with a mix of in office work in Houston, TX as well as remote work.
