About the Role
Supports the HR team in a professional and personable manner to help oversee human resources responsibilities and activities within the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Process new hire employee and termination paperwork in a timely fashion with accuracy and in accordance with company policy, procedure, and in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Update and maintain all employee files and records including I-9 verification of employment, visas, sponsorships, performance documentation, etc.
- Respond to employee verification and state compliance requests
- Maintain and document all payroll and employment records, and conduct audits as necessary
- Administer COBRA, LOAs, FMLA, HSA/FSA usage and other issues as required by our in-house regulations and legal requirements
- Resolve pay issues and errors by collaborating with HR Business Partner and external vendors
- Conduct new employee orientation
- Process organizational changes timely including promotions, transfers, salary changes, etc.
- Assist with running full cycle payroll for employees in the US and Canada
- Provide new and existing employees with an explanation of benefits and eligibility; instruct them on enrollment and fulfillment procedures
- Process enrollments and resolve employee issues with insurance providers and vendors
- Support the HR team in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, and systems to encourage best practice within the company
- Other related administrative duties as assigned
- Responsible for administering and coordinating company-wide benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance plans, retirements plans, and other total reward programs
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding inquiries and coordinate with Benefits Lead and HR team for escalations
- Adhere to clear policies and employee handbooks that explain company operations
Qualifications
- Familiarly with HRIS, payroll and benefits software systems
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred
- Excellent planning and organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Full-cycle payroll experience with both hourly and exempt, and including commissioned employees and benefits
- Ability to handle high volume of employee contacts daily while maintaining a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, collaborative and a strong focus on service delivery, quality, and efficiency
- Previous experience working with a global company a plus
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of payroll standards, wage laws and practices
- Experience administering company-wide benefit programs
- Experience with HR data analysis, reporting and creating presentations
- Ability to problem solve and 'think on your feet’
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist
- Degree or equivalent experience is required
