Job Description

Job Summary:

In this hybrid position, the HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources department, as well as the talent acquisition responsibilities. This includes, but not limited to, hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave; enforcing company policies and practices; finding, recruiting, hiring and retaining talented candidates; planning, developing and implementing a new and productive Talent Acquisition strategy for our company.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform candidate and employee satisfaction evaluations and workshops
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Attend career and college fairs, and similar events
  • Reviews employment applications and background check reports
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Encourage employees to be brand ambassadors
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Develop a sustainable talent acquisition and hiring plans and strategies
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Use sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Design, plan and execute selection processes (conduct interviews and screening calls, administer psychological tests etc.)
  • Plan employee referral programs
  • Source and find candidates qualified for open positions
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Find bottlenecks in the recruiting process
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Plan procedures for improving the candidate experience
  • Suggest measures for improving employee retention
  • Investigate and determine employee needs
  • Create and present KPI reports
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Determine HR and recruiting KPIs
  • Use HRIS, Recruitment Marketing tools
  • Perform analysis of hiring needs and provide employee hiring forecast
  • Lead, oversee and supervise members of the recruiting team
  • Design, plan and execute employer branding activities



Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Hands on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques
  • At least two years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience in Recruiting and Talent Acquisition
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
