Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is expected to provide wide-ranging support to the HR function, performing a variety of tasks in support of the department and the company. The role will follow all HR policies and procedures in executing tasks, and will maintain accurate records.


The qualified individual should have significant previous experience of working in a Human Resource department in a business environment, and should have strong organizational and administrative abilities. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential for this position.


Specific Responsibilities Include


  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Provide support with administering 401k and employee benefits.
  • Administer FMLA policy and procedures.
  • Provide support to the recruiting team in all aspects of the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate files and records.
  • Knowledge of the functional areas of HR.
  • Plan and execute company events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is preferred. HR certification is also preferred.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the recruitment process.
  • Assist with employee terminations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Complete administrative tasks and attend meetings as required.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Serve as liaison with third-party staffing companies.
  • Good critical thinking abilities and business acumen.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Adaptable and flexible in changing circumstances.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good active listening skills.
  • Provide support to all aspects of the HR function as requested.
  • Strong perceptiveness, emotional intelligence, and social awareness.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Conduct the day-to-day administration of hourly staffing functions.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant employment laws.
  • Knowledge of employee relations strategies.
  • Ability to work well across all levels of the organization, and to communicate effectively with individuals from different cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
  • Three or more years of experience in Human Resources, including experience in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
  • Administer and process the plant’s payroll.
  • Produce reports as required.
  • Conduct orientations for new staff.
  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 40 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
