Director Hometown Foundation
The Hometown Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization committed to supporting those in need in conjunction with Bozzuto’s, Inc., its family of retailers and community business partners. Established in 2002, The Hometown Foundation raises money to support a broad range of programs that meet community needs. The Foundation’s focus and commitment center around five key program areas: Animal Welfare, Emergency Response Personnel, Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or In Need, Major Illness, and the Military. Our year-round programs are devoted to strengthening our local communities to create a more cohesive and inclusive society
Position Summary:
High Impact! Make a difference! In this awesome role as the Director of the Hometown Foundation, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the foundation's operations, programs, and initiatives. Reporting to the CEO and Executive Offices, you will provide strategic direction and oversee the day-to-day activities of the foundation to ensure the achievement of its mission, financial targets & goals. You will also play a key role in fundraising efforts and cultivating relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. The Director will be an inspirational leader, an effective communicator, and a strategic thinker who can drive the foundation's growth and impact.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Enhance and implement a strategic vision for the foundation, aligning with the mission and goals set by CEO. Provide leadership in setting priorities, establishing goals, and evaluating progress towards achieving desired outcomes. Lead, motivate and foster the professional development of The Hometown Foundation’s immediate team and interns.
Program Management: Oversee all foundation programs and initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with the foundation's mission and strategic objectives. Build awareness in local communities by connecting local businesses, grocery retailers and municipalities to the Foundation’s initiatives Provide guidance and support to program coordinators and teams, including program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. Continuously assess the effectiveness of programs and recommend improvements to enhance impact and outcomes.
Fundraising and Donor Relations: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support for the foundation's programs and initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to cultivate and steward philanthropic support. Prepare grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials as needed. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to fundraising.
Operations and Financial Management: Provide oversight of the foundation's financial management, budgeting, accounting, and reporting processes. Ensure effective and efficient operations, including human resources, administration, and technology. Develop and monitor performance metrics, data collection, and evaluation systems to track progress and impact. Provide regular reports to the Executive teams on the foundation's financial and operational performance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organizations, employees, government agencies, corporate partners, and other non-profit organizations. Represent the foundation at external events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and build partnerships. Serve as a spokesperson for the foundation, effectively communicating its mission, goals, and impact to various audiences.
Qualifications:
The Director of The Hometown Foundation is a critical leadership role that requires strategic thinking, effective management, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about the foundation's mission & purpose. This leader must possess a mindset for exceeding expectations with natural desire to help people & strengthen our communities.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., non-profit management, business administration, public administration, social sciences) required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in non-profit leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in strategic planning, program management, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
