- Analyze payment and transaction history and maintain accurate documentation of all information necessary for the investigation.
- Respond to 25 or more account inquiries per hour and provide standard/scripted responses to SLA-defined alerts generated within fraud detection queues.
- Assist with lost stolen report completion, such as block and transfer of compromised accounts, and build credit card replacement orders.
- Contact customers and merchants to obtain additional information regarding fraudulent charges.
- Investigate potential credit card fraud cases based on information received from the fraud detection system.
- Able to use effective questioning and listening techniques to identify customer needs.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work well independently and maintain professionalism during difficult situations with customers.
- Recent experience in a high volume call center.
- Ability to deescalate situations with customers while explaining the situation.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- First-rate decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- Previous work experience in a fraud-related field.
- Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature, requiring limited decision outside of stated processes.
- Acquires and applies job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned routine tasks.
- Normally receives detailed instructions and follows established procedures on all work, requires instructions on all assignments.
