The RWE Analytic Scientist will play a key role in delivering results for RWE projects, provide guidance on appropriate sources of real-world data, and will create easy-to-understand summary reports.
• Generate RWE using in-house retrospective data sources, with a focus on Medicare/Medicaid data.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Translate rigorously designed protocols/SAPs into programming code
• Act as internal subject matter expert on specific in-house data sources, including but not limited to Medicare/Medicaid
• Conduct and oversee execution of rapid RWD-based queries and studies
• Apply cutting-edge advanced analytics methodologies, analysis tools, and visualization platforms to generate novel insights and actions
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Medical (Evidence Generation, Medical and Scientific Affairs)
• HEOR (Global Value and Evidence)
• Digital
• ResDac/CMS (external)
• 3+ years of experience working in real world data analytics in healthcare, clinical research, life science or other related organizations
• Significant programming experience using CMS Medicare or Medicaid data.
• 2+ years of experience in communicating in verbal and written form with all levels of personnel with diverse backgrounds, and able to create and deliver clear presentations to teams
• Ability to work under pressure with a high level of autonomy and motivation
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Required: 3+ years of hands-on experience of query and analytic languages and technologies (e.g., R, SQL, SAS)
• Required: Strong background in relevant biological and medical data standards (e.g. ICD, CPT, SNOMED)
• Required: Experience with data analysis, data ingestion and data visualization
• Experience with version control systems
• Knowledge of vaccines development, infectious disease, host/pathogen interactions, immunology, clinicogenomcs, GWAS / PheGWAS dataset interpretation, and other Vaccines-relevant experience highly desired
• Knowledge of efficient, deep programming practices and the software development life cycle
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML): ability and experience in creating advanced models to generate real world insights for projects
What is the minimum education experience required?:
• Required experience: 2+ (with a master’s degree) to 4+ (Bachelor’s degree) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry/consulting
• Preferred: Master’s degree with 3+ years/PhD with 1+ years in RWE analytics or consulting, Nursing or Biomedical Informatics, Public Health, HEOR, Statistics, Epidemiology, Other Biological / Computational Science fields with a substantial quantitative and computational component.
