Position Overview
As a Healthcare Data Analyst on our team, you'll collaborate with a group of dedicated data professionals who specialize in extracting, analyzing, and reporting on healthcare network contracting data. Your work will be crucial for both internal decision-making and external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of data professionals to extract, analyze, and report on healthcare network contracting data.
Utilize data from internal enterprise data warehouses (EDR), Facets, and other repositories to perform healthcare data analysis and reporting on contract health pricing models.
Create informative spreadsheets and reports that present contract health pricing models, including contract reviews, methodologies, and impact changes.
Assist in providing a variety of data for network provider contracts, such as provider, hospital, and Medicare price comparison projects.
Develop procedures to enhance healthcare and Medicare data query and reporting capabilities.
Design and model data extractions to provide comprehensive assessments of trends and data.
Maintain documentation of business specifications relevant to the business requirements.
Provide fundamental analytical support to the organization by developing and promoting consistent analytical methodologies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Three to five years of experience in health/healthcare data analysis, business analysis, or technical documentation.
Healthcare data experience, including Provider/Payer Network Contracting, Hospital, Physician Practice, Ancillary Health, Professional, and/or Medicare.
Experience in data analysis for contract models, including commercial and Medicare healthcare payments, reimbursement, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), CPT Codes (Current Procedural Terminology), and Hospital and other pricing comparisons and validations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel modeling (or VBA), reporting, and data analysis, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets.
Familiarity with SQL, SAS programming, database software, or other similar tools is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Health Insurance, Medicare Benchmarking, and National Healthcare Transparency is a plus.
Work Environment
This role offers 100% remote work for individuals residing in specific U.S. states, including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Virginia.
