Who We Are Looking For
- Build and lead a team of experienced consultant liaisons, providing mentoring, coaching and support that leads to the achievement of the robust activity, established ratings and deep strategic partnerships.
- Engage internally across the organization to partner with the product, marketing and investment resources of the firm to address the ever-changing needs of the institutional marketplace.
- Establish a tracking and reporting methodology, with metrics that enhance team effectiveness and permit simple stakeholder reporting, including accurate and timely CRM use.
- Engage externally to amplify our voice and reputation in the industry.
- Personally own key client relationships as a senior leader of the consultant relations function.
- Establish, align and implement coverage and sales plans to maximize the distribution of the full breadth of SSGA products.
- Ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment that demands full compliance with policies and procedures
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead, prioritize and execute simultaneous projects and initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and influencing skills
- Deep understanding of and insight into the NA institutional and consultant relations segment
- Ability to build executive-level client relationships, including C-suite engagement, that result in mutually beneficial partnerships
- Existing industry profile and relationships that can accelerate the success of sales initiatives
- Successful experience setting, measuring, meeting and exceeding targets
- Talent to build, motivate and coach high-performing teams
- Proven ability to form and cultivate positive relationships with clients and internal colleagues
- The ideal candidate will have a successful record of developing relationships with relevant investment consultants
- 7+ years of experience selling to and/or servicing institutions preferred
- Strong academic credentials including an undergraduate degree; advanced degree and/or CFA a plus. FINRA Series 7, 63, and 3 are required for the role.
