The Head of Marketing Strategy & Planning will report to the EVP of Marketing and support key strategic initiatives within the marketing team to drive growth through customer acquisition and retention. The hired candidate will work cross-functionally with research, data, retention, finance, product, and other marketing leads to conduct research, analyze marketing performance holistically, build financial models and/or business cases, and prepare recommendations for executive leadership.


The expected base salary for this position will be $90,000.00 - $117,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.


Please note this opportunity is located in NYC. The hired candidate will be required to work from our NYC office several days per week.


Accountabilities:

  • Work with Research to conduct research to support key marketing initiatives and to help educate the broader marketing team on industry trends, competitive landscape, and audience targets and behaviors.


  • Work with the Head of Growth and the data team on attribution analysis and media planning based on MMM results.


  • Work with data and finance to generate useful insights to ensure all marketing initiatives benefit from customer-centric data-driven strategies.


  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations to update and make recommendations to EVP Marketing and executive leadership.


  • Assist in the preparation of all materials for Board meetings and other internal strategic reviews (e.g. budget approval meetings)


Required Skills and Experience:

  • BA required; A Masters degree would be desirable
  • 5+ years experience in marketing, preferably with a subscription business
  • In-depth knowledge of web analytics and competitive analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SimilarWeb, SEMRush, etc.
  • Deeply analytical with a passion for driving business results
  • Experience with marketing mix modeling and forecasting
