Job Overview
The Head of Finance / CFO will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This is a full-time position based in the Knockaround office in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of finance, accounting, and business strategy, as well as a strong track record of success in leading and managing financial operations for a growing company.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a small team of internal and external accounting/finance professionals to ensure high performance and growth opportunities
• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support business growth and expansion
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including auditors, bankers, and investors
• Oversee the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting, and tax compliance with a focus on accelerated timelines and accuracy
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices
• Provide financial leadership and support to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and HR
• Oversee all financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Manage cash flow and capital allocation, including working capital management, capital expenditures, and debt financing

Requirements

• Proven ability to think strategically and develop long-term financial plans that align with business goals
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or retail is mandatory
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
• 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role

Estimated Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000
