Why This Role Is Important to Us


This position is responsible for fully supporting the CRO/COO in planning, directing, and overseeing operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organizations. This role is pivotal in directly influencing the leadership team of Spot and employees at large. Additionally, this role is responsible for building the DNA for critical operational systems, foundational shared services and culture that supports delivering repeatable and reliable outcomes. He/she/they will also push the organization to balance effectiveness and efficiency to optimize velocity across the organization and drive Spot forward with Strategic Planning across all levels of the organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and facilitate leadership meetings (weekly, quarterly offsites)
  • Work closely with CRO/COO to lead and execute strategic initiatives
  • Project manage critical initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact to drive cross-functional and organizational alignment
  • Drive innovative process improvements through identifying gaps or opportunities, designing proposed changes, and developing processes to drive business efficiencies
  • Collaborate across teams to communicate strategic plans with internal stakeholders and adjust priorities according to feedback and company objectives
  • Define, implement and review policies and guidelines for the company for optimization, looking for continuous improvement while balancing right-sized processes
  • Develop & refine Spot’s Operating System, the key tools, framework and processes across the business; including the establishment of key shared services that reduce touchpoints and friction
  • Support the CRO/COO in defining annual and quarterly business goals across the company
  • Develop and monitor key success metrics and operational processes to mature the state of the business
  • Ensure that initiatives remain aligned to the set priorities and OKRs

A Typical Day Looks Like


  • Meeting with stakeholders to align on OKRs, identifying gaps and highlighting risks to CRO/COO
  • Analyzing metrics and data on the health of the organization to make recommendations on efficiency gains
  • Problem solving whatever is on fire that day
  • Identifying roadblocks with internal teams and resolving as needed
  • Mentoring someone in the company who may need a little nudge
  • Meeting with multiple teams to understand requirements and helping document and communicate them across the organization
  • Defining / implementing a new process and/or tool for collaboration/efficiency
  • Identifying when, where and how to escalate issues to SLT
  • Checking in with team leads to ensure they have what they need and obstacles are moved
