Job Description

We are in search of a Ground Operations Coordinator.


Position Description

This position is based at Valley International Airport and will be responsible for coordinating all pertaining services within the aviation industry of a ground ramp operation, before, during and after aircraft loading and unloading process. Enforce safety procedures and operational ramp standards. Will be tasked with the coordination and direct oversight of ground operations, to include staff scheduling, customer service, and works to ensure oversight and assistance to all ground crews responsible for handling and refueling aircraft in accordance with airport and FAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities also include providing regular updates about scheduling and delays that affect scheduled shifts, as well as weather information potentially faced during operations.

Roles/Responsibilities

•Coordinate staff and equipment to effectively and efficiently turn aircraft.

•Interact with airport authority, general and commercial aviation customers, vendors and staff to coordinate critical aircraft service delivery, including catering, flight crew transportation, concierge services, aircraft handling, staff scheduling/notifications and equipment availability.

•Document flight operations post-flight reports for commercial flights, aircraft data, fueling inspections and fueling service tickets.

•Maintain and monitor quality control on fueling vehicles and all ground equipment utilized for aircraft operations.

•Maintain and monitor facility and equipment cleanliness before and after operations.

•Maintain security awareness and hazardous materials awareness appropriate to the FBO and aircraft environment. Ensures procedures are followed to maintain safe work environment and efficient operation.

•Report and documents any discrepancies and concerns to ownership for resolution.

•Assist with creation, maintenance and implementation of policies and training programs.

Position Requirements:

•Equivalent education work experience, knowledge, and skills may qualify.

•One (1) year of aviation general or commercial operations and/or FBO line staff/ramp experience

•Possess a valid Texas driver’s license, in good standing.

•Must be able to pass back ground check

•Knowledge of airline and airport operations, applicable FAA requirements, policies and procedures for commercial operations

•Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Ability to work independently

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications

•Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be on-call and respond on a 24-hour basis

Education level requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in FBO or similar commercial operations experience preferred. Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
