Graphic Design Specialist (Fully Remote)

The Calling:

As Graphic Design Specialist, you have a passion for, and understanding of branding, storytelling and visual content — helping support our growth and success as a Marketing team. The Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining all visual assets (including but not limited to, ads, website graphics, signage, collateral materials, digital materials, etc.) of Branching Minds and ensuring that the visual assets align with the brand strategies as established by the Communications and Marketing Departments.

This role will be responsible for supporting all visual branding efforts within the company. This comprises continued website graphics development, brochure creation, social media visuals and graphics development, swag design, slides, event materials and more, in the effort of advancing the brand consistency and brand recognition of Branching Minds.

What You Will Achieve:

• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
• Collaborate cross-functionally and provide design services and expertise to internal stakeholders to support visual communication – Slides for professional services, and sales, RFP layouts and formatting, data visualizations for the impact team
• Attention to detail with positive energy, and enthusiasm, and a desire for a flawless final product
• Passionate and positive self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Create clear and concise story-driven data visualizations in support of projects as required
• Work quickly to generate great results, and provide clear visibility into your pipeline
• Self-manage schedules and tasks; balance multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.Why We Want You:

• Transform quantitative data and qualitative research into compelling visuals

• Produce deliverables including infographics, annual reports, multi-page documents, one-pagers,, wireframes, social media posts, charts and graphics, data visualizations, infographics, website graphics, ad banners and more.
• Understanding of general marketing principles
• Robust creative experience in design, advertising, social media or content creation
• Develop web and print design style guides and corporate identity standards
• Serve as a brand steward, adhering to, promoting, training and integrating Branching Minds visual and verbal brand guidelines within the business
• Create multimedia content, including animations and videos as needed
• Craft visual elements that can be extensible across a wide range of media and project types, including, communication campaigns, social media posts, multipage documents, presentations, fact sheets, infographics, brochures, website covers, event materials and exhibits
• Initiative, seeing what needs to be done, and making a plan for it
• Help organize and manage all Branching Minds visual assets
• Credentials in Graphic Design or related equivalent degree
• Meet with team to establish the desired look feel and look for the specific campaigns to be created
• Experiment with new and innovative concepts and design principles to maximize impact
• Understand and apply the principles of design, layout and color theory
• Ability to take feedback while still advocating for brand standards and excellence
• Ability to create motion graphics as needed
• Assemble footage, and apply creative video editing techniques, incorporating a variety of multimedia elements, and ultimately storytelling across both short and long form video as needed
• You have a strong skill set in creative graphic design, organization and attention to detail

Requirements

Why We Want You:

• Experience in Web Design
• Experience in editing/designing short form video content for popular social networks such as TW, FB, IG and Li -- including familiarity with social network editing techniques such as GIF’s, super-fast cuts, ramping, and various motion techniques that work well on social media; affinity for good musical selection in video
• Experience in After Effect, Premiere, Adobe XD and Dimensions

• Experience working in K-12 and/or Education technology

Interview Process:

If we are a match you can expect a total of 3 steps in the interview process after the initial application

• Must submit Digital protfolio in advance
• 30-minute Video/Phone Interview with the VP, Marketing & Demand Generation
• 60-minute Final Round with Marketing team members
• Take home assignment of a design project

• The range of our base salary cash compensation is between $55,000 - $75,000. Fnal offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
