GAP Inc. is transforming the travel program to better support our employees’ needs globally. We are looking for a very customer-oriented Global Travel Manager to support the Travel Team, an individual who loves the challenges of innovative travel, change management and building out a traveler centric program. This person will be the main point of contact for the Travel Team, and will assist internal customers by understanding their needs, answering questions and giving guidance on travel policy, analyzing and resolving system issues, and project managing several concurrent, impactful and transformative projects. With great attention to detail, the role also is responsible for supporting the CEO’s office, the Executive Assistants for our Heads of Stores for our brands, and other key executives and Board of Director members and managing our Corporate Jet program. This role reports into the Director of Global Travel.

About the Role:
The Global Travel Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the travel program, from a vendor and traveler standpoint. The position works closely with the travel agency and vendors (including airlines, hotels, and ground transportation providers) to ensure an exemplary traveler experience. This role develops and maintains strong relationships with business partners at all levels, acting as a resource to help travelers navigate the travel policy and their travel options. Excellent communication and organization, as well as confidence interacting with Executives, are essential. You will also be responsible for the management of the master corporate jet calendar: reviewing all passenger lists for compliance to the Gap Inc. Risk policy, securing charter aircraft when our aircraft is not available, and overseeing the details of all jet trips to ensure they are accurate, efficient and cost effective.
They will constantly seek and identify opportunities to change and improve processes and policies to meet evolving needs of the business.
Ideally, candidate will be based in the San Francisco or New York metro area with the ability to work from our SF or NY office 3-4 days/week.

What You'll Do

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate all corporate jet trips with our external jet management company. Source and secure charter aircraft, as needed. Assist in managing the execution of all aspects of trips with charter aircraft with executive admins. Track charter invoices and ensure payment is processed accurately
  • Assist with Hotel sourcing and vendor management
  • Train employees on our Travel tools (e.g., Online Booking tool, Travel App), policies, and processes
  • Manage the airlines contracts amenity funds management and customer service concerns.
  • Engage with internal customers and help with inquiries and questions related to Travel tools, policies, and processes
  • Be the key liaison with our jet management company, including our dedicated crew and their executive management team: overseeing and coordinating all required scheduled (and unscheduled) maintenance work along with our Maintenance Supervisor, discussing options for complicated trips with our CAM
  • Provide administration oversight for online booking tool, including vendor management and site design/functionality to highlight program offerings and support ease of use
  • Maintain FAQs/T&E resources within Gap’s intranet, and proactively communicate to key users/groups
  • Have oversight of all re-usable air tickets optimization and coordinate efforts with both airlines and travel management company
  • Provide elevated customer service support to the CEO’s office and other key executives and expand the travel department's influence and value throughout the business
  • Work with tactical deliverables for implementation and integrations
  • Be the point person for everything travel with a “Customer first” approach
  • Utilize various communication channels to market and promote the travel program to ensure our employees have deep understanding of travel processes and policies, as well as the value and benefits, including traveler engagement campaigns, office hours, etc. Identify, implement and educate travelers on new technologies that assist them with seamless travel
  • Project manage several strategic initiatives
  • Be the liaison for our regional travel business partners
  • Administer the Teams Channel and General Travel inbox

This position is ideal for someone who:

  • Has a strong working knowledge of global travel industry (necessary)
  • Has Experience with TMC (Travel Management Company) and online booking tools
  • Has 3+ years in a recent T&E Support role - bonus point if you have project management experience
  • Has impeccable email and Chat etiquette
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the travel industry

Salary Range: $85,000 - $124,300 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
